Din's Bistro

It's been long that I didn't post foods!

Din's Bistro serves western foods. I don't really know how to use fancy words to describe foods but no matter in terms of the taste or the way they cook the foods, they are good, and the foods always look very pretty and yummy!

Most of the times, I don't order from the menu, I personalize my foods. Sometimes I just feel like I want to the lobster from this dish with the pasta from that dish, so let's combine it! Haha

Steak with mushroom sauce.

Lobster Pasta. Recommended!

Last month, we celebrated Arthur's one year old at Din's. And we had vegetarian dishes. Isn't that cool!? Normally vegetarian foods in Brunei are more to Chinese style, and Din's serves the western style of vegetarian foods.

Leek and potato soup.

Mushroom Salad with cocktail sauce. Mushroom's my fav!

 Vegetarian Shepherds pie.
Not too oily, with a bit sour taste from the tomato, very yummilicious!

Mushroom and Asparagus risotto

Since it's Arthur's birthday, Din's actually prepared vegetarian baby foods

And also they have desserts like cakes.

You can check out their Facebook and Instagram.

Din's is located at Gadong, the block beside Ayamku's block. Turn in at Ayamku's block and go towards the very end, Din's is at the last unit.

Are you feeling hungry looking at the pics? Me too =.=

And thanks Carol and Anthony for inviting me to this wonderful lunch with Arthur ^^

*smooooch* Best day to y'all!

Danes Cafe

I've been hearing people talking about this new restaurant in town, Danes Cafe. It's a place of pork! Ok~ not really. That's what I heard, so I thought they have a lot of pork dishes but not really. Their variety in the menu is not that much. I had a hard time deciding what to order since they don't have much choices.

Not all dishes are in pork, I only remember they have pork burger, other than that, I don't remember if they have any other pork dishes, may be they don't hmmm.

I like their interior design. Very cozy, ang moh-ish and Marvel-ious. Do you see the picture of my man on the table, yea, Iron Man's my man!

Pork Burger with fries. It's definitely delicious with the juicy pork, but a bit pricey for me, costs BND$17 (if not mistaken)

I ordered the grill chicken, it's so-so for me. Not bad, it's not very dry but not juicy. BND$12.

The foods are good, great environment, however a bit pricey for me. If you haven't, you can go and have a try, their pork burger is good yeah!

Gohan Shabu-Shabu

It's great to see new restaurants opening in Brunei recently, and it means more options for dining! I went for food tasting last week at Gohan Shabu-Shabu which they are opening this Friday

Location: Kiarong, same building as Gohan Sushi. The building next to Baiduri Bank. At M floor.
Contact: 242 8100

They have my fav cockles too! Who are the seafood lovers here!?

Different types of noodles to choose from.

The handsome boys trying out the sauces.

My Mango Smoothie.

They have soups that you don't see at other shabu restaurants like Kalbijim soupEbi Chilli soup and creamy mushroom soup
Kalbijim is kimchi base and a bit spicy;
Ebi Chilli is sweet and a little spicy, not very spicy, just good!
If you like your soup light like me, you can have vegetable soup.
A bit ang moh feel, you can have mushroom soup.
And few other soups to choose from.

Happy meal.

Go and have a try! They have Japanese cuisine at the 1st floor too :)

Paddington House of Pancakes

Hello darlings!

It's been a while since I posted food photos. It's great to see there are new cafes and restaurants in Brunei, and also drive through Starbucks too!

Anyway, I went to Paddington that day. It was my second time there. They have variety choices of foods, they come in large portion and always delicious!

Love their large sized fries. Hard to find in Brunei I guess.

OH! This is best! I forgot what's the name of this dish, may be you can show them this picture if you wanna order.
It's filled with prawns, mushrooms, cheese etc. It's my liking because I love mushroom and seafood. Very filling

The bacon crepe. Aiya, I forgot the real name of the dish, paiseh. Not bad too but I prefer the dish on top.

It's a nice and cozy place to dine in. Can have a try :)

My Little Cube Enterprise

Hello loves!

I'm not sure if most of you seen this kind of cubes store which sells variety kind of stuffs. I first saw this kind of store in Singapore, and I spent quite a long time shopping in there because too much cute and creative stuffs! I was thinking how great if Brunei has this, then not long later Brunei started to have this kind of store. It's great place for getting gifts, a place with lots of choices.

Recently, KB has just opened a cube store too, named My Little Cube

Victoria Secret.

They sell original branded bags too, like Coach, Micheal Kors, etc.

Cosmetics like Wet n Wild, Cover Girl, Naked palette, etc.

Selfie gadgets are a hit now! "But first, let me take a selfie *snap*"

And a lot more stuffs, gadgets, party tools, etc.
ProTape is now available in KB too, it's kinda popular, I see it all over Facebook recently. If you do sports, you should consider getting this! "It helps to relief muscle pain, overused/fatigue muscles, swelling, cramps and etc. "

Sometimes we don't know where to get gifts, or products that it seem to be only available outside Brunei. Now, you could find the things you want from this kind of cube store, by shopping in a store with over hundred of cubes selling hundred of variety stuffs.

For little entrepreneurs, they envision to provide opportunity and encourage you to start up your own business with a low cost start up. You don't need a large capital to rent a whole shop, and there's someone

who look after your products and help you to sell, how great!

Working hours: 9am - 9pm everyday

Located at KB town:

Happy Shopping, and

Good Luck lil entrepreneurs!

High Frequency Cafe

Aiyo...Didn't update this space for so long. I've been really busy while I was in KL and also in Brunei. Busy with a lot of stuffs, my make up career, look after dad 's shop, do some stuff at my new house, catch up with my friends, etc.

I took a nap and that's why I have the energy to update now. It's always tired after I come back from my dad's shop, because I wake really early in the morning. Then I got home and I have my own works to do.

So, there's a new cafe/restaurant in Brunei which look cozy, comfy, a bit antique + modern and attractive, named High Frequency (located at Batu Bersurat, the blocks beside Happy Star). I had been wanting to visit and finally, I first visited last month. Then I went again recently to try the other foods and the coffee.

I forgot to take a pic of the bar. Too excited for the foods, maybe. =.=

Beef on stone. Yes, it is very rare. Then I "cooked" myself on the hot stone, I can adjust how well I want it to be. I like it medium :) Yummeyyy~ This is my fav dish. It comes with fries.

My first Egg Benedict. The muffin is stuffed with ham. Not bad not bad.

My brother's Pancake. It's BND$9 if not mistaken. Too expensive I think.

Then I went again recently.
Mushroom soup, the best I ever had! It's damn delicious, I can feel the little little black mushroom, dip with a toast, heaveeeen!

Grilled chicken with quinoa. Not very attractive, but not bad.

Salmon with roasted potatoes. It doesn't taste special, it could be something that I can find in other restaurants, but it's still great.

About my fashion, one of my fav top this month :)
Got it in KL, it's crop, pink and the pattern looks girly and sweet ^^ Great outfit for a date.

Again, I forgot to take a pic of the coffee. I ordered a shot topped with an ice cream. It's too sweet for me but coffee tastes good.

Have a great weekend darlings :)

Depot VLO

Went to Depot VLO again but this time I brought my family.

Caesar salad

Mushroom soup. One of my fav soup.

I introduced my mom this Fish Normandy because I really like it when I ate last time. She said not bad too.

Beef roll...something. Can't remember the name. It has a pic in the menu.

The beef is stuffed with onion, beef, tomato, etc. Not bad too!

My brother forever order the same food in Western restaurants, Fish and Chips =.="
If Japanese restaurants, he orders Unagi Don everytime! 某D新意 (no creative).

My mom took this pic then my dad asked me "Unhappy?" No I said and wondered why he thought so.
Then I saw this pic. I didn't actually feel that my expression looked like this. Like I was afraid of the cam and say "what....what...is that creature?" lol I was just normal smiling anyway.

Time flies and it's August tomorrow! Just booked ticket and I'm flying to Kuala Lumpur next week. Yay~~ Who doesn't love holiday.
I found a cool part time job too which the working date is next week too, it clashes. Too bad, the pay is not bad some more, interesting job somemore.
That's it for today, goodnight :)

My week in photos

I said it was my first time driving to Miri, it's not that hard actually. But these 2 kacau confused me with the directions. So in the end, I'm still not very sure about the way. And to save time maybe, Gerald drove after that.

The Hello Kitty!

The minion! I'm not a big fan of them but a fan of the banana song.
BA BA BA BA NA NA...PO TA TO NAAA....TO GA LI NA PU TA TO NI...
(ok I just realised he's poking the eyes)

Main point of going miri was to do facial as my face went really bad and dry, and no matter how much moisturizer I put, the skin is still peeling off. THEN....on the day going to Miri, my skin recovered totally and smooth. =.=" But facial still on la, haven't do facial don't know since when already.

Si beh ugly after facial, I don't know which part to cover. But they kept telling me that I looked OK and wanted to take pictures ><

Ate bah kut teh before sing K.

While waiting for the night session of Terminal KTV, we chilled at a bar first.
Covering face again x.x really ugly bah.

Weekend...

Then in the weekend, we celebrated J's birthday and happy hour.

OOTN

The next day...

Went to beaches to search for stones for Dk's aquarium.

蓝蓝的天,白白的云,蓝天白云好时光。。。

Dinnered at Sushi Tei. The omelette clam udon was so good. Our orders were so good that I kept making the 'yummy' sounds like "MMMM.....WAA.....好吃!" If you ever eat with me, u may know what I'm talking about. Then Dk asked "你要爆炸了哈?(are u going to burst?)" lol xiao kia.

Later that night...
Beribi petrol station opens till 12am right? I went there at 11+ and it was closed! Maybe because of puasa.
Not enough petrol to go back Seria, so....happy hour!

I COULD STAY AWAKE, JUST TO HEEEAR U BREAAATHIIIIINGGG.... *Aerosmith tone*
Recently I have that don't-touch-my-woman face when I take pic with SY, I'm actually smiling :D !

 The next day...
Breakfast at Mr. Baker

Then watched RoofTop by Jay Chow. I slept again but this time, worse! Normally when I woke up, I agak-agak know what's happening in the movie, but this I totally have no idea. When I woke up, Jay Chow is already with his admirer...anything exciting before that? =.=

Yesterday the guys chilling at my place.

The present I received this morning because I parked at the roadside.  A lot of people park like that but I was unlucky just now. I had just wasted B$50 in my life. I could have use that to eat ho-liao. Sigh...

It's ok, 小财不去,大财不来。
