大舞狮关圣宫 The Great Lion Kun Seng Keng

 

I don't normally watch movies. But recently I just watched "The Great Lion Kun Seng Keng". It's based on a true story about the Malaysia representative, Kun Seng Keng, at the lion dance championship in 2006 in Genting, Malaysia (Brunei has representative too that year). It talks about how both legends started their passion in lion dance, how much effort they made to be the champions where even the competitors respect them too. We watched with the real lion legend and of course we kept asking if this and that part is real story. lolx.

It's a touching, funny and interesting movie. If I was alone, I would cry for the touching part. Never expect Malaysia is that good...or is it I'm too weak haha. From there, you can see the beauty of lion dance and Chinese culture, and the hard work the dancers have put to perform their best. They also use the real names of the legends in the movie. I never watch the "high end" kind of lion performance, I wish I could one day. The results KSK got from the lion dance competitions all these years are impressive, hence the making of this movie.

I think Miri doesn't have this movie? I'm not sure. But oh well, if you're in any parts of Malaysia then you can watch la. Good movie.

I said it was my first time driving to Miri, it's not that hard actually. But these 2 kacau confused me with the directions. So in the end, I'm still not very sure about the way. And to save time maybe, Gerald drove after that.

Main point of going miri was to do facial as my face went really bad and dry, and no matter how much moisturizer I put, the skin is still peeling off. THEN....on the day going to Miri, my skin recovered totally and smooth. =.=" But facial still on la, haven't do facial don't know since when already. 

Si beh ugly after facial, I don't know which part to cover. But they kept telling me that I looked OK and wanted to take pictures ><

Ate bah kut teh before sing K. 

While waiting for the night session of Terminal KTV, we chilled at a bar first.

Went to beaches to search for stones for Dk's aquarium.

Dinnered at Sushi Tei. The omelette clam udon was so good. Our orders were so good that I kept making the 'yummy' sounds like "MMMM.....WAA.....好吃!" If you ever eat with me, u may know what I'm talking about. Then Dk asked "你要爆炸了哈？(are u going to burst?)" lol xiao kia.

Later that night...

Beribi petrol station opens till 12am right? I went there at 11+ and it was closed! Maybe because of puasa.

Not enough petrol to go back Seria, so....happy hour!

Then watched RoofTop by Jay Chow. I slept again but this time, worse! Normally when I woke up, I agak-agak know what's happening in the movie, but this I totally have no idea. When I woke up, Jay Chow is already with his admirer...anything exciting before that? =.=

Yesterday the guys chilling at my place.

The present I received this morning because I parked at the roadside.  A lot of people park like that but I was unlucky just now. I had just wasted B$50 in my life. I could have use that to eat ho-liao. Sigh...

It's ok, 小财不去，大财不来。

Mission impossible going to be possible

Hello, I'm still the same, jobless. haha I'm jobless but not useless or lifeless. Here to inform you that MissFab has just updated! I'm now looking for more great stuffs and share with you guys, so do go check out MissFab sometimes.

Life is so normal that sometimes we need to go out of our comfort zone. I'm doing something adventurous and not very comfortable tomorrow, i.e. going to Miri. (you say: WHAT!!??? what so adventurous?) Although I may have gone to Miri 'N' times in these 23 years, but I never drive to Miri and I don't know the ways, not a bit! Not sure why but I just can never remember directions till I drive myself.

I can't read maps, so I'm gonna depend on a hand-drawn map by a friend lol 3 of us are going down together. I'm driving, 2 of us have no idea about the directions, another is gonna be quiet and voice out when we are seriously wrong! lol Like suiciding. I plan to go on the weekday so there's lesser cars but I didn't aware of puasa, sigh, I lazy to re-plan again because I've been wanting to go Miri since forever, I mean We.

As I grow older, more friends are getting married, feel excited for them. The more exciting part is I'm joining their creative weddings and be their sisters! Can't wait!

Sammi and Andy Lau have a movie in the cinema.

It doesn't look interesting tho, a bit disgusting. Not sure if I will watch this but my idol (Sammi) is acting! Let's see. Not a movie person anyway. 

Can't wait to step in my new life in December in Kuala Lumpur, with a lil bit of fear as it's a new place for me. That's gonna change my life, change my future. I do hope that I make people pretty for my living. That's not gonna happen that soon, it takes time. But if it really goes successful, I'll feel really grateful in my life and thankful to my dad.

The Dark Knight Rises

It's been long that I didn't watch movies in the cinema, since Eldy and I had nothing to do just now after I settle my things, we decided to watch the bloody 3 hrs of movie. Like usual, I fell asleep, but only in the beginning of the movie. 

The ticket counter told me that the movie ticket is B$12. Then I "HA!? Why so expensive!?" Somemore it's weekday day time. Then the counter told me "Yea, because it's 3 hrs movie." Then I still felt weird and thought this batman movie is really that famous and nice huh. Then in fact, it's B$6 per ticket, B$12 in total =.=" The counter should say "huh? usual price ma." 

Anyway, this movie is rather blur to me because I didn't watch the previous one. But still OK~ I still enjoy the actions and Eldy explained all my Whys. I also wondered if the catwoman is the Princess Diary girl. I Google searched, yes, Anne Hathaway is the princess in Princess Diary and the catwoman.

It's a good movie and I suggest you to watch at Kiulap mall because the seats are more comfortable because it's a 3 hrs movie. Happy weekend :) and I'm starting my semester next Monday. Oh-no to non-wifi life.

大世界 It's a great great world

It's rare to see me blog about movies because I'm not a movie person, some movies make me sleep.

Introducing you another awesome Singapore Mandarin + Cantonese + Hokkien + Foo Chow movie.

The trailer doesn't make the movie looks interesting.

What I love in the movie is the 60s/70s Chinese songs! The songs that I love to sing and listen, because the rhythm makes me happy.

Avengers

It's a hot movie now right!? But I don't understand why everyone wants to watch it so much, it's just another hero movie. Even in the paper, Avengers took 4 thumbnails at the advert. 

I have already watched it. I didn't watch Iron Man and Hulk, so I'm kinda blur.

And I forgot the story of Captain America and Thor, so blur also until a friend refreshed me. 

I fell asleep in the beginning not sure how long, and I missed the front part. So, blur again!

I woke up and a lot of questions in my head "Why like that ah?"

What made me slept is the comfortable seat that can incline at Kiulap mall cinema ><

I only watched around the middle part of the movie. It's a good movie and funny. 

My manager asked me if I have watch Avengers.

I said "Yes, but I fell alseep a while."
She replied "You're crazy."

We Not Naughty movie

This Singapore movie is highly recommended! 

I don't even have 0.0001% of regret after watching it. 

It is really funny, touching and somehow sending a message to parents and children about the society nowadays, where may be parents should concern and don't misunderstand their kids, etc. I laughed till tears drop, even the other audiences, really beh tahan. 

Jack Neo's movie never disappoint me. I watched his "Liang Po Po" when I was a kid, then I'm Not Stupid etc those awesome Singapore movies. Never got disappointed!

MUST WATCH!

Hunger Games

I'm not a movie person, I choose movie to watch in cinema, else I'll fell asleep in there.

I was invited by RA to watch Hunger Games. I watched the trailer before that and it seems interesting...and a bit scary. In fact, it's a nice action movie! Must watch!

You can download Hunger Game in your iPhone, not sure if Android has one.

I'm gonna watch the Snow White movie next!

I dislike Taiwan drama, because they are very long-winted and I don't have much patience. However, this Taiwan drama does attracts me, not sure if it's a new drama, but quite nice and funny.

Hong Kong stars and Me

Did you hear the Hong Kong movie stars came to Brunei?

It was a great opportunity that a group of us were "invited" to escort, translate and assist them from 7th (Friday) to 9th (Sunday) October 2011.

Friday was the day they arrived Brunei. I didn't meet them on that day but only Saturday and Sunday. I can't recognise most of them when I see the posters. However, I actually know most of them when I meet them in person. Why put the pictures of them taken like 10 years ago? =.="

Saturday:

So we had breakfast at Orchid Garden Hotel (where they stayed).

Well, stories are always slightly changed and shortened in the movies, so I read the book to know the actual story.
okok, this is not the point of this post.

That day they met the fans at Tool Box.
The fans were not as much as the one I escort the Indonesian star last time. But still challenging.

After the match, they went back to Empire Hotel to rest. They were tired, but only Byron Pang still energetic to take picture with us.

Actually only few of us took picture with him, but he called all of us to take picture together.

We were very hungry.

Nice working them. Nice chatting with them. Nice getting close with them. Everything was nice!

I never thought that I can get close with the movie stars whom I always see in the TV, who would thought of it? Unbelievable.
