Trip to Langkawi

Hello babes! How are you! I miss this space. I spent a whole week of Raya at Langkawi and Penang. I'm always a happy girl whenever I go travel. Not much of my friends been to Langkawi, and I don't see much reviews too online. So I have to do all the research.

It was really a tiring researching all about Langakwi and Penang. WHY!? Because we planned so last minute, just a week before we go Langkawi, and since it's Raya, hotel and tours are mostly fully booked!

We stayed in a small town named Cenang, which is famous in Langkawi where resorts, beaches and nature located. Then we realised there are so many tour companies at this place! =.=" Shouldn't have been so worried.

We stayed in Langkawi for 2 nights and it's enough for us unless you wanna hope around EVERY islands and waterfalls, then you probably need few more days.

Langkawi is all about keeping the state as natural as possible. So they don't have much buildings and it's not that developed. It's a good place to relax and enjoy the nature.

I stayed in Sandy Beach Resort. RM170 per room (2 Queen beds). Pretty cheap right!?
My dad kept asking me if it's trustable. Seriously I had no idea but the room looks not bad online.

Google image
Well, it looks almost like that except the two wall lamps was damaged, the bed setting wasn't as nice, it's much more darker and....urm older, towels are VERY dirty Sigh, pictures can be so deceived.
It's quite dodgy. The room is not in a building, it's like in an individual house. Beside our room is a long house where the workers stay. The door knob is like those in our house, which we can turn to open, it's so easy to break in. So.....it's pretty scary, especially during night. I couldn't sleep till I put our luggage to block the door, in case of anything happen.

What attracts me to stay in this resort:
- it's by the beach
-a shopping mall named Cenang Mall which is 5 min away by walking
- A lot of restaurants and bars.
- Includes breakfast =.="

Actually there's a lot of resorts la, so the places nearby are almost the same. After all, my resort is not bad because it's cheap and by the beach some more.

 Facilities:
- no wifi
- dirty towel (better bring your own)
- tv
-no hair dryer
- no safe deposit box
Basically they have nothing but a shower room and two beds + pillow + blanket.

OK enough of the hotel.

Isn't it beautiful waking up to this view everyday.

Dining at the restaurant by the beach.

Sun set

Outside our resort. Very relaxing.

We had one of our dinners here at Putumayo

The ambiance and the music so romantic okay~ A lot of ang mohs too.

They serve great lobsters! Look at that! So sizzling yummeh.

Oh one more thing. The weather there is so damn hot! I sweat so crazily everyday when I'm not a person who sweat easily. Sun block is so important there.

Peking duck! Awesome too!

Langkawi has a lot of duty free shops that sell a lot of chocolates and alcohols there are damn cheap! No wonder they say buy chocolate in Langkawi. Duty free shops can be seen everywhere in Langkawi.

The next day we went to Mangrove Tour. Takes place at Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, Kedah.

Been so long since I've gone to adventure with the nature. My last adventure with the nature was 9 years ago I think in KK. After that I always had my adventure in shopping centres whenever I travel LOLx.

I booked the Mangrove Tour with Cannon Ball Travel. RM 120 per adult; RM 100 per child which includes transport from and to hotel, Crocodile cave, Bat Cave, Eagle watching, touring around the Islands, visit the fish farm, swimming by the beach and a lunch.

A bit disgusting to see so many bats. Bat Cave at Gua Kelawar.

Fish farm and the restaurant.

So many eagles!

The Gorilla Mountain because it looks like a gorilla.

In another cave somewhere around the island.

After that when we were about to leave, it start poring so heavily. We were at the ocean and using boat somemore, with thunderstorms. OMG, I seriously got freaked out. Very adventurous, what a trip.

Our lunch provided by the tour.

After that we went to the 3D museum! Features more than 200 artworks.
Distance: 20 min drive from the airport, 20 min drive from Cenang.
Opening hours: 9am - 6pm
Price: RM38 for adults, RM28 for kids. Locals are charged cheaper.

RUUUN!

So impressed with the artworks, They look just so real.

♪ I can show you the world. Shinning, shimmering, splendid~ ♪

There's nothing much to shop at Langkawi except for getting swim wear, chocolates and alcohol. Seafood are great there and alcohols are cheap, overall is super relaxing.

Stay tune for my next post: Penang!

See You ♥

Yupe, my daddy looks young at his age!

I know Father's Day was a month ago lol But I would like to write a post about my dad.

There's no doubt that, and everyone knows that my dad loves me a lot since I was a baby. He never scold me nor shout at me. If he wanna teach me a lesson, he would say it nicely. And I love him too of course.

My dad is a businessman. He once said that because he's always busy at work, and only able to accompany his kids at night and on Sunday, he will always try to fulfill the wants of his kids. i.e. to buy toys his kids ask for.

I guess, it's my dad who made me an independent person because I always see my dad work hard to give us a better living. He told me that he didn't have much money left after he married my mom and when I was born. He said he worked really hard to support the family. My mom said that my dad didn't give her too much allowance to allow her to go to the salon and pamper herself. However, as years pass by, my dad started to give more allowance to my mom, he owned a shop in around 1990 and I guess that's when we are more financially stable.

10 random facts about my dad and I:

1. When I was a teen, my dad taught me that if I want to go to party, it's better to tell mom "Mom, I'm going to my friend's house for dinner." It sounds way better than the word "party". lol

2. May be it's hard to believe but my dad can weigh the luggage bags accurately by his hands. Who the hell can feel the difference between 10 and 11kg? My dad does!

3. My dad helped me out in Kuala Lumpur to make sure I have everything I need during my 1 year stay in KL. Was so upset and cried so hard when he left.

4. My dad is very generous because he likes to treat people foods LOL that's seriously one thought that comes to my mind if you ask me what kind of person is he.

5. I was looking for a job 2 years ago and I wrote my dad's company as reference. The interviewer called my dad and asked about my personality. And my dad answered " that's my daughter and  did she apply a job in your company? No need to hire her la, she's going to work temporary only!" And I went =.="

6. My dad is loving husband/father. I never seen my parents fight. He carries shopping bags for me like a boyfriend.

7. I was 17 when I got my first bf. My dad was so angry and he talked to me so loud and said it was too young for me to have a bf. The next day he texted me Sorry, he was too stress at work, he didn't mean to be so mad at me.

8. There was a rumor last year about someone saw my dad and a lady in Miri early morning on a Monday at a cafe eating breakfast. My eyes were so big and almost upset and hoped it wasn't real. That person who saw was asking someone else "that boss is not married yet?" Hey wait...which Monday? That lady was me! =.="

9. My maid asked my mom about me , "is that boss's mistress?" Oh come on!!! What's wrong with my maid thinking mistress stays with the wife under one roof?

10. Any movie scenes about dad and daughter can make me cry. Like the movie San Andreas

My dad always try to give us as much love as he can, especially to support financially. I never know how is the financial status of my dad. He supported me through university and my make up course. I asked his opinion about taking make up course in KL, he supported me.

After that, something  came up and I need to always travel to Singapore, Miri and Brunei every three weeks for a year. I feel really sorry to my dad whenever I cause trouble especially when large amount of money is needed, I always tell myself I have to work hard to pay back him.

I also feel thankful to my dad as he helps me whenever I got problems, especially when he supported me financially to travel every three weeks just to make my wish come true, i.e. to complete my makeup course.

My dad is my hero and to show love, I wanna get his face inked on my body. lol Just kidding.

Wolo Bukit Bintang Hotel

When I go travel, I'm more like a container/tube person. If I'm the one who plan the trip or book the hotel, most of the time I would be looking at container type of hotel. However I'm not a backpacker person. It always great to stay in nice comfy creative hotel, which I have a friend who is a pro in looking for creative hotels.

My January trip to Kuala Lumpur, I visited Wolo Bukit Bintang hotel. Located at the busy city of KL, Bukit Bintang. It's a great location because shopping centres are everywhere, cinemas, night clubs, eateries are all nearby. So...my next trip after Jan's I had a few nights stay at Wolo.

Jan's trip,

One of the entrances, from the cafe.

They have 3 types of room: My Room, Our Room and Our Big Room. This is Our Room

Behind the mirror sliding cabinet is the basin and wardrobe.

Spacious bathroom. To make it more exciting, you can slide up the blind, enjoy the beautiful city scenery, have a shower and be sexy~ lol

 From my room

Little gym.

Beautiful art at the ceiling and lamps!

 My stay includes breakfast too!
My trip was so packed that I didn't have the time and energy to have a drink. Drinking at bars/clubs is always one of my must-dos when I travel. That night, I went for a foot massage instead at 2am (and I only do foot massage when I travel lol)
No drinking, didn't get drunk, able to wake for breakfast =  healthy life style!

The breakfast was not bad la. They have different kinds of bread.

My fav section is the egg section.

My beautiblur morning face. Obviously forced to wake up for breakfast.

The hotel guests would have their breakfast at the first floor, and this bakery is at the ground floor for customers.

I don't really eat bread or pastries, but theirs are so attractive and look yummeh!

 View from first floor.

Very modern right the hotel and creative. It's owned by a couple who both are passionate in arts.
The rooms price range is between Rm250-300+.

I always look forward for my next trip but I'm not as flexible as before. Guess what, I just booked my flight ticket to few states of Malaysia which I never been before and I'm travelling next week! Lesson learnt, don't purchase flight ticket last minute, damn expensive. And hotels are full too!

Till next time. xoxo
