I got a new part time job- working at the UBD's The Core convenient store. Wage is low tho :(


Well, we got the privilege to choose our own free time since we have classes.
The aircon is VERY cold there and not allowed to change the temperature.
Good experience being a cashier, this is an easy one since customers are not as much as Hua ho's.
I like to scan the bar codes and tap the keyboard, receive the money and find the change to them. But I'm not sure if this interest will last long hehe

I'll be working at there on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Visit there then ^^
But ofcourse you can go anytime u want from Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 10pm.

I got my part time salary!

Went to I-lotus to celebrate Hua's mami's birthday.

Ate steamboat and BBQ. It's "eat all u can!". But wastage of foods has to pay $3 per 100 gm.

Very nice...many choices. Sotong, lamb chop, balls, etc.

Today's the last day of GHK roadshow.

In these 3 days of doing part time:

- VERY sunny.
- a bit boring when no customers.
-sweats a lot
- ate solo meal 3 of Ideal in these 3 days.
- tired..

Today, all the banks in Brunei is closed because it's half yearly. And all the banks would go for lunch, together with the staffs.

And us, Baiduri Bank card merchant department went to RBC, which is a nice place, with nice foods.

The cases of swine flu keep increasing day by day, today reported 32 cases. One of the them who got infected because he went to Miri.

3 cakes

I got 3 cakes again this year! This is from my officer and my colleagues. It's tiramisu cake!


My hair is done. I dyed my hair, but not much difference with the previous one. Nevermind, so I don't need to worry IF I'm accepted by UBD or ITB. Got a red highlight on my short hair. Oh yea, I got my hair cut short until ear at the side.

When I was unemployed, I told my parents, " I don't need ATM card." I really don't need it, whenever I deposit, that's the money I want to save and not gonna withdraw.

And I'm employed, I have a ATM card given by my company. Excitement is a will, it's my 1st own card! Wonder at what age, I would be having credit card, let's see...^^

I don't eat ice cream until I ate Snow house's. Don't know why ha, only snow house's will interest me, soft and not very cold. I always remember to take a picture after I eat it. =.= Lasagna toast is nice too.

I'm so looking forward to saturday. A day for me to relax. Have to rush to Miri to do braces and relax on my facial. ^^Feel like I have stay bandar for so long, I want to sleep my own bed~~ and have my maid to wash my clothes.

I almost forgot few days ago was April fool! I didnt get to play anyone le. Was so free for few days, and today I'm tired. I hate searching for files. The files was like more than 100 I guess, have to flip one by one and check. I wonder why customers like us to seach history, like asking why charge them xx%, and it was the case of last year! x.x

I'm just a beginner, and my collegue is fully stress!

I'm so happy to sleep at home! and tomorrow I'm going back. And going over friend's place. Haven't get to rest whenever I come back from bandar.

New place to intro! Eat steamboat at Berry Wan at Gadong, in front of HSBC. Not sure, but heard that it's $10 per person, I'm not the one paying^^ Many choices but there's no prawn :(

Finally, I lost my way home. Visited my grandma in hospital and start driving back at 6.30pm, driving round and round I reached home at 7.45pm. More than 1 hr!!?? I can go back seria and have a nice dinner.

I know I'm driving the way back to Seria, but I can't find any u-turn until I saw the sign board "EMPIRE HOTEL". Good, even I stop half way, I also don't know where I am, how am I gonna seek help? So saying that I'm at Empire is better.

I think HND (Higher national diploma) is higher than A level right? My colleague is HND, and she's doing the same thing as me. If after I finish my education, as if the work I do can be done by a A level student, what for I continue my studies?

I believe that even you study Uni, you might not find a better work. For me, working with high income is better than high education. Pehin Hua Ho really my idol. He studied until primary 6 and he's one of the richest man in Brunei. So why uni?

I always think how to earn money, almost everyday, I can't sleep because of this question. Now I got a work, and makes me think, how to earn more? It's always not enough isn't it?

At work...

I have been very free in office for 2 days, don't know what to do and colleagues don't know what work to give me. Did shredding for most of my time =.= I'm actually doing the work when there's system error, and I do the procedures. So no error, no work.

I have a "powerful" boss, whom people "fear" (guess the meaning). She's been very busy and didn't realise me. And bombed by her, "Who are you? I don't know you, why u come in?" (One department has different section, so she might not know me). Colleague explained the "source" of me, and bombed by her, "Who give the permission for her to come in?" How can I response? haha I just keep quiet and back to my section. XD

We went to the Job workshop of Miss Imelda's saying different kind of colleagues, some are really true. Sometimes feel funny looking how my colleagues act. XD

I always think I will online the next day, and the next day I think the next day.....

1st week of working make me blur, I don even know what I'm doing (it's normal as told by colleagues). I accidentally deleted info =.= and sometimes wrong spelling and wrong numbers. It's my 1st time and people make mistake. My colleagues made mistake too when they 1st working there.

There so many numbers making things complicated. It's a big difference between $123.00 and $1,234.00.

I see mostly papers and numbers @.@ The office is like paper factory. Face PC for almost whole day. Colleagues are nice and helpful. Codes are complicated but OK for me. Piece of cake XD

How can a person afford if they eat at restaurants every meal and every day. If each meal costs $4, it will me $12 for a day. A month will be $360 just for foods!

If your salary is $650, deduct foods, petrol fees, entertainment, left $100+ =.=

Not jobless anymore

Finished packing my things and done my planning how am I going to live when I stay at Bandar. Gonna drive myself later~

Went to the new Baiduri at Seria yesterday, nice renovation. Went to SCB, I didnt know we don't need to go to the teller to deposit money, just use the machine, and we can do it ourselves. Sakai kan~ x.x And I found that most of the banks now, we cannot see the teller when we enter, it's normally machines at the 1st place.

hmm gonna re-pack my things now @.@

Not again~

My blood report is out. Everything's ok except for high cholesterol. I thought only starting from 30 yrs old will have this kind of problem, but doc said it's common for my age for having high cholesterol.

Doc said I have fats, but obviously I'm skinny. The fats are not under my skin but in my blood vessel. If I don't exercise much and control my diet, more serious like blood vessels blocked by fats can cause strokes or heart attack.

Met Miss Tan at Soon Lee, she has knowledge about health, kept asking me to eat oat.

Today, went to Lumut picnic. St James was having family day at there too. We played cards and balls. My mood didn't go well because something happened in between.

When death rate increases...

I dreamed that I have to blog about death. There's something related to death that I want to raise my opinion, but I can't remember what is it.


Heard that BBb is going to call me for another interview, might get recruited. I'm scared because I don't have experience working in office. Paper work from people's mouth seem like easy, but may be not for me?? And I have to live on my own, as in I have to deal with my meals, daily needs, wash clothes and stuffs.

Thinking that I might be going to bandar soon for further studies, I also have to take care myself. One word, KIOK (scared). I never live on my own, worry that I can't handle. Wonder how will it be if I'm abroad. x.x Everyone has their 1st time.

About death, for me, life is short. People can be healthy today, and sick tomorrow. Something strikes, MURDER. I know what my dream want me to blog! OK~

There are cases in Brunei, people being murdered. Brunei is not as peace as what people thinks. Heard that an Indian is murdered in a restaurant, and found few days later. He's being divided into parts. Heard that, it was not posted in newspaper (tell me if there is).

Why not being posted? because they worry that, WE, rakyat, are afraid. I think these cases should be posted so people can beware, instead of hiding. The police, FBI, CID, D.I.E, should that action, try their best to find the murderer. I don't know if Brunei is efficient enough to deal with cases, like 古灵惊探^^. Finding the murderer is important, u know why.


Hope police is efficient enough, hi-tech enough, not to be greedy (corruption), to check the finger prints or whatever, and put criminals to jail. Isn't it selling and taking drugs are illegal?? And I know people who are dealing with drugs are not in the jail yet. Urh...

Dooms day is approaching? SMS and e-mails saying 4th to 7th might flood and landslides, but what a sunny day today. Below is the pic of one of Subok's house. Subok has mountains, so it's very dangerous. Some houses has half-ly damaged, the land moves and so the mountain is very near to the houses, and so people moved out.

Day 7...

Went to Bandar overnight for a open house the next day. I can say very unlucky me yesterday. I forgot to bring clothes for the next day as I wore my pajamas from Seria to Bandar. *unlucky 1*

Going through the unluckies, but something brighten up my day and I laughed till my pants off. I watched the FUNNIEST lion dance in my whole life. I didnt bring my cam, or I video it for u.

This is how they arrange the things for the lion. Had not enough coins, so green tea took the place. Chairs may be for the lion to stand. When the lion dance reached, they discussed for quite a long time on how to perform.

When the performance is still going on, the lion kept asking, "How how how?" and there was people keep peeping into the lion and tell them what to do =.= It was an Iban who played the drum, it was totally not the lion dance rhythm, it was some kind of Iban or malay's. And my cousin went up and played the drum.

The funniest part is how they treat the sugarcane. The lion bite on it and kept waving up and down like mental lion. 2nd is, I think they pour the green tea to the pail, while they done it and made some movements, the lion jumped and stepped on the pail (I wonder it was purposely), then all the water splashed out. The next thing they did is kicked the pail until the pail broken!??

It was a mess on the floor, only the plastic chairs survive. If you know me, you can know how hardly I laughed till my tears dropped.


This looks-like-very-costly watch (branded) is given by my dad for the reward that I didnt fail any of the subjects. Yes, my reaults is bad and it's a surprise for me too. Ms. Imelda said that she can see my focus on my studies and kept encouraging me to do better in the future. Guess I disappoint Mr. Batley :( Anyway, I appreciate the watch and the words. Thanks.

As we grow older...

I have a batch of 20+ years old friends and they used to tell me, "As you get older, your ang pao decreases." Yes, it's very true. Discussing whose house to visit, people will say that they have to work. Unlike student times, we can take leave and copy work from others.

I'm one of them. I have to go up to bandar and have my assessment test before interview.

It's chinese new year...

My mom keep complaining about my shoes. "So many shoes, you can wear a year already lo. Can borrow me one pair or not? Stop buying!" All my shoes are different to match different clothes and events.

Telling my mom that I want to have a baju kurung that can be wore in Uni or working. Telling my mom that I only have one set of working attire and she expect me to wear the same everyday? "So many clothes, you only have one set of working attire!!? The rest are spaghetti la?" =.=


She's the one who say, buy when you need it. I never work before, what for I buy working attire? It's not that I don't want to buy OL clothes. Man, Chien told me FOS has many. Yes, it's many. I tried all the clothes, all the S size but it's still too big for me, and not suitable on my bodeh. Even Chien said I look weird in formal.

Jobs and Performance

Screams at 1.24, people thought it was the end, but we continue. When it really ends, toiinngg, a sudden silence ahahahahaha. People said, they don wan to make mistake for clapping hands.

...and hungry. Luckily, Chien made breakfast.

There are more than 40 booths and 39 companies were there to recruit people. I bet 99% of the people who went there are jobless! Met friends and they said they were looking for job. Most of the co. need engineers as Brunei is lacking of it. One of the exhibitors said that she believes every companies need accountant or clerk, so there still a chance for business background.

I threw my CVs there and chances are low. Vacancies are mostly in Bandar, unless the employees in KB get pregnant.

Chien thought it's a maths and I thought it's a magic. Approach it and it said it's illegal to play "sap sam cheong" =.=

My primary ex-teacher, miss Lim jus passed away yesterday. Reading minna's blog and I just knew that she had her funeral in the noon. If I know it early, I would go and see her the last time. Few days ago, my friends were planning to visit her during their attachment, and I didnt expect she went that fast.
