Valentine's Day

" Saint Valentine's Day, commonly shortened to Valentine's Day, is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs, Saint Valentine, and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 500 AD. It was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but its religious observance is still permitted. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards. " (wikipedia)

And I also read that Muslims actually cannot celebrate Valentine's Day due to Islamic policy.

I didn't know police actually raid hotel rooms to stop young couples from unlawful sex.
This applies in Malaysia, I'm not sure about Brunei.

I wonder how are they gonna stop when people are having sex. Ask the police to wait a minute? Don't the police feel paiseh?

My unforgettable valentine celebration was in Pantai, Empire Hotel.
It's expensive but the foods were very delicious + I love seafoods once in a while.
The service was good too, waitress are nice, the environment, it was windy, and performer singing jazz on the stage. *imagine it!!!!!*
They had Face Shop free gifts too.

I celebrated my first valentine's day at Bucaneer. I still remember the price was $99 for a couple. lol Bucaneer was full, thus the foods to be served are slow for some tables. We were lucky that we got the waitress's attention and we were being served well.

Last year's Valentine was clashed with Chinese New Year, and I remember I didn't get any presents hmph!

How am I going to celebrate this year's Valentine?

How are u going to celebrate it?
